VB lowers error handling differently from C# and no fixture covered it:
every Catch brackets its body with SetProjectError/ClearProjectError,
Catch...When moves that call into the filter, and On Error becomes one
try block with a dispatch switch driven by line and handler state. The
expected output is the current decompilation, rough spots included
(delegate-invoked filter blocks; gotos into the dispatch switch that
leave unreachable code, which keeps VBOnError.cs out of the
warnings-as-errors project), so improvements show up as diffs. IL offset
labels differ per compiler and optimization level, hence the per-method
#if variants. Legacy vbc output was verified on Windows.
The correctness test covers what a pretty test cannot: catching object
made the decompiled On Error code fail to recompile with CS0155, and the
round trip shows the rewritten dispatch code still runs the same. Like
the mcs configurations, the legacy and Roslyn 2.10/.NET Core 2.2 ones
recompile the decompiled VB code with the latest Roslyn: C# 5 cannot
express the exception filters VB error handling compiles to, and the
.NET Core 2.2 Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll lacks Information.Err and
ProjectData.CreateProjectError.

vbc builds an exception filter as a single non-short-circuiting
expression: `isinst`, then the user's `when` conditions, combined with
`and`. DetectCatchWhenConditionBlocks only knew the branch chain csc
emits, so the type test stayed inside the filter and the handler kept the
`object` variable it has in IL:

A catch type has to derive from Exception, so that does not compile.
The conjunction form is matched too now, lifting the test to the catch
type as the block form already does. The other conjuncts stop running for
a non-matching exception once the test moves, so the filter has to be
pure for this to be invisible; PropagateExceptionVariable then drops the
castclass in the handler:

VBPretty had no coverage of VB's anonymous types, so nothing caught that their
use sites decompiled to the raw metadata names while their definitions were
hidden from the output. The expected C# is written as it should read once the
generated-name predicates agree with each other; it fails until then.
Roslyn 2.10 targeting .NET Core 2.2 is branched off with #if: there the query
operator calls are not restored to extension-method syntax, so no query
expression is formed and the lowered form survives.

The netcore-2.2 reference set consists of the shared framework's facade
assemblies split across many files, and vbc only binds special types
like System.Void from an assembly that defines them rather than
following type forwards, so without an implicit SDK it needs the same
reference list as the C# side. The VB runtime must come from the legacy
reference set: before .NET Core 3.0 there is no
Microsoft.VisualBasic.Core.dll and the core build of the VB runtime is
a trimmed-down subset (no UBound etc.). Referencing the target
framework's own Microsoft.VisualBasic facade alongside that -vbruntime
choice is a BC32210 identity conflict, so it is dropped from both the
default reference list and the ReferenceVisualBasic flag handling.
All of this applies only where vbc runs without its implicit desktop
SDK path, i.e. off Windows; on Windows vbc.exe keeps the plain
reference list that already worked.

C# has no syntax for named properties with parameters, so the expected
output declares the accessors as ordinary methods, keeps the
property-level attributes under the inert 'property:' attribute target
(ignored by csc with CS0657), and consumes the properties through
direct accessor calls, which Roslyn permits exactly for properties
whose shape C# cannot bind. Red against the current decompiler, which
emits a parameterless property whose body references the vanished
parameters.

Compilation uses the .NET builds of the Roslyn toolsets (tasks/netcore*,
bincore csc.dll/vbc.dll launched through the dotnet host). ilasm/ildasm
options use the '-' prefix, which all platforms accept. The dotnet-hosted
compilers have no implicit references or SDK path: net40 compiles pass
mscorlib explicitly, and vbc gets -sdkpath, _MYTYPE=Empty and
-vbruntime:Microsoft.VisualBasic.Core.dll (the facade in the ref packs is
not followed for runtime helpers). The TestRunner gets a self-contained
build for the host platform.
Configurations depending on Windows-only tools or runtimes (legacy
csc/vbc, Roslyn 1.x/2.x, mcs, Force32Bit, executing net40 binaries) are
filtered from the matrix off-Windows via Tester.SupportedOnCurrentPlatform
or gated with [Platform("Win")]. PdbGen comparisons normalize document
name separators, and Correctness/Async uses Console.IsInputRedirected
instead of the Windows-only Console.CapsLock.
